Who should attend: Anyone embarking on larger-scale research projects, such as Capstones and graduate theses or dissertations, or for post-docs and junior faculty just starting out in their research.

If you’re thinking of starting on a systematic review and don’t know where to start, this brief introduction will help to get you started. You will discover what’s involved, what skills are needed, and what Library services are available to help you.
Who Should Attend: Anyone considering undertaking a systematic review as part of their educational program, or to publish in a journal.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Discriminate between a systematic review, a meta-analysis and a narrative review
- Describe the steps required to conduct a systematic review
- Describe the competencies required to conduct a systematic review
- Take advantage of the available additional training and on-line resources to support systematic review authors

Need a hands-on session about the survival skills necessary for good scientific research? This class will give you the chance to conduct searches, utilize citation managers and critique articles under the supervision of an Informationist.
Who should attend: Students working on their thesis, dissertation or review assignment.
By the end of this class, participants will be able to:
- Identify and distinguish between background and foreground information
- Prioritize and plan ahead for upcoming projects effectively
- Create a research strategy in which sources are assessed and used appropriately
