Marian LaForest specializes in science communication, editing, and citation management systems. Additionally, she is familiar with library-provided research and writing tools such as Pivot, Web of Science, and Read by QxMD.
Marian joined the Health Sciences Library as an Informationist in January of 2019. The scope of her responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, advising the CUIMC community, leading classes, and developing educational events.
Marian has previously worked as a researcher at a University of Tennessee cell biology lab and a communications specialist at Oak Ridge Associated Universities. She has received a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Environmental Health from Boston University and bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and English from the University of Tennessee.
