Have you ever wondered how to manage all of your publications? Do you plan on applying for NIH, AHRQ, or CDC grant funding? A great way to keep track of your publications is by registering for an account through ORCiD.
ORCiD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) provides a free, persistent 16-digit digital identifier that uniquely distinguishes researchers from others with similar names. It solves the problem of author misidentification, connects researchers to their publications, grants, and affiliations, and streamlines workflows with publishers and funders, ensuring accurate attribution throughout a professional career.
In addition to being a personal record of your publications, individuals supported by research training, fellowship, research education, and career development awards from the NIH, AHRQ, or CDC have been required to have an ORCiD since 2020.
*Please note: Information associated with your ORCiD will not update automatically. Make sure to add publications and grants to your ORCiD record as they become publicly available.
