UpToDate is a resource subscription managed by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Access while on CUIMC campus is IP based. The best way to use UpToDate while off campus is to register for a personal account. You must register for the account while on the CUIMC network (on-campus or connected to the CUIMC, not Columbia, VPN). A personal account is good for 90-days and can be renewed while on the CUIMC network for an additional 90 days.

To create your personal account, follow these steps:

1. From the CUIMC network, visit UpToDate.
2. Verify on the upper right corner that it displays "The New York and Presbyterian Hospital". Then click Register. (If you are using Safari browser and not seeing this message, try in another browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome.)
