The Columbia University Libraries provide off-campus access to a number of databases and journals to alumni in support of life-long learning endeavors. To access these resources, alumni may need to re-activate their UNI or change their password on the Alumni UNI maintenance page.
CUIMC graduates will find the following e-resources especially valuable:
- Academic Search Premier: Alumni Edition–full-text articles in thousands of peer-reviewed journals
- Journals of the American Medical Association (JAMA)–full-text access to the current issues and archives of JAMA, Archives of Dermatology, Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, Archives of General Psychiatry, Archives of Internal Medicine, Archives of Neurology, Archives of Ophthalmology, Archives of Otolaryngology, Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, and Archives of Surgery
- JSTOR–full-text access to thousands of scholarly journals
- ProQuest Healthcare Administration Database–resources in the field of health administration
- ProQuest Medical Database–a collection of journals in clinical and biomedical literature (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, immunology, parasitology, and more)
- Sage Full-Text Collection–access to over 600 scholarly journals
In addition to these e-resources, alumni can register for an Alumni ID card at the Library Information Office at Butler Library on the Morningside campus, which allows in-person access to many of the Columbia University Libraries. Alumni have access to the Health Sciences Library during staffed hours and can use on-site computers to access more resources.
