A bibliographic database is an organized digital collection of references (i.e., citations) to published, scholarly, or specialized literature — such as journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and reports. Unlike search engines, bibliographic databases provide curated metadata (e.g., titles, authors, abstracts, keywords) to help users identify, find, and evaluate specific academic or research materials.
