Reference Managers

A reference manager (also known as a citation manager) is software designed for researchers, students, and professionals to collect, organize, annotate, and cite research sources (e.g., articles, books, PDFs). Reference managers also help streamline academic writing by creating in-text citations and bibliographies automatically in various styles, saving authors time and reducing manual errors.
